Revelation 2 :8 Smyrna, the second church's judgement

Smyrna was very close to Ephesus, and it is not
surprising that their admotions are similar, with
enhancements.

Smyrna, the 2nd church has 4 chapters.

Rev 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and [I know] the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but [are] the synagogue of Satan.

By the end of the First Century, there were deadly
seeds planted, by those jealous of Christianity. When
they couldn't beat them, many groups of Essene and
religious Jews tried to incorporate him into the old
religion, by the old religion, not the one of Moses, but,
the hybrid Judaism, mixed with Babylonia law and
worships.

Instead of the firstfruits of Jesus, there were constant
persecutors, like the great Pharisee Paul, who put
Christians to death, before he was blinded on
the road to Damascus.

Where was Paul? He was going around to these
7 churches and being an inquisitor and issuing
death to those who professed Christ as the
New Judaism, given to the pagan nations.

Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

There was great persecution in the first churches in
Turkey/Asia Minor. They did overcome, even by
their deaths, since the Gospel thrived. Unfortuately,
the resistance to other philosophies, and religions,
constantly corrupted church after church, from
the days of the Apostles.

This is the proof, in the final judgment.

Again, the word of power is OVERCOME!

Christ overcame death. We are victors in him.

Rev 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
