Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Curse is "qualal" Number 5:18 And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman's head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which [is] the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:
Revelation 22:3
Katanathema (curse) is used in this form only this one time in the Bible, in this verse, so, it's placement as 22:3 is to be noted. We're used to this version, also a unique entry, the very familliar Christian curse: Anathema - Maranatha. 1 Corinthians 16:33 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha. "Maranatha" is "Lord to Come," so "Anathema Maranatha," is essentially establishing that the wicked have no part in the Lord's Kingdom. ____________________________________________ | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| And they shall see his face; and his name [shall be] in their foreheads.
There are many scriptures that refer to having God, and God's word, in our foreheads. I believe that is a very basic message, involving our psyches and devotion to God, through thought, prayer and keeping Him forefront. It's figurative, but, the ultra-orthodox Jews still wear a specially constructed "Torah" scroll, in a box called "Tefillah" or phylacteries.   God wants us to do more than wear a box which held the sacred words! He wants us to possess the love of the Torah in our heads, not to wear. The Torah stands for God's Law, and being a student, with a burning passion for learning. Most of all, is the opportunity to be a disciple, to submit to Perfection, because the sheer perfection of His WORDS are merely a shadow of things to come. The Torah, God's Law, has no value, bound to the flesh, like a punishment, or bound to the high brow, like a burden to bear. It's to be bound to our brains, woven in the neurological signals in the frontal lobes, not by a chip implant, but, from learning. Learning the Laws, is learning to see God in everything. The mark of God, like it's satanic counterpart, relates to who we serve. Man cannot serve two masters. Eze 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the f0reheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. Rev 13:6 And he caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: Rev 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty [and] four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads . | Behold, I come quickly: blessed [is] he that keepeth the saying of the prophecy of this book. BLESSED : Starting with a few original OT references, a pattern of grace emerges. It's engaging to read all the hundreds of blessings in scripture, and how profound they are. [Old Testament] Genesis 27:29 Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed [be] every one that curseth thee, and blessed [be] he that blesseth thee.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates of the city.
I love the literal definition for the Greek word, "makarios" or "blessed" (KJV) because, in addition to being blessed, it means "happy" and "happier." Unlike the Hebrew counterpart, Barak, there are no opposite connotations attached, only unilateral peace and joy. | Then saith he unto me, See [thou do it] not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the saying of this book : worship God. Rev 19: 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit and prophecy. (*Only NT*): FELLOWSERVANT x 6 Col 4:7 All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, [who is] a beloved brother, and faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord: Col 1:7 As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; ("Sundolous is used 10 x in the NT. It is mostly used to denote fellow laborer in Christ; a minister, or in John's case, on a co- ministerial level with the angel, as a Prophet of God, in Jesus Christ.) For 3-4000 years, Angels and men, shared a ministry and rank of Prophet. John was the last Prophet of the Great Dispensation. All Scripture is a trip into the reality of God, away from man. These final words are spectacular and reassuring. The images dazzle our minds, and are often nearly overwhelming for us to take apart, and take in. But, far from nonsense or confusion, it takes the totality of all prophecy in 3-4000 years of dispensational ministries, until the ultimate unveiling, when we see God's bride coming down from heaven, and we see God's face, ( verse 22:3 And they shall see his face;) All things become new. St. John, the Divine, may have been Christ's youngest brother. This is based partly on disposition of the events of the Last Supper, where John was seated, as the youngest, next to the Lord, laying his head on him, like a younger brother would. It was Passover, and tradition is to have the youngest read the 10 questions about why we commemorate this day. How poignant that the youngest at that table of the great apostles, was John, laying his head on the Lord's shoulder. (The last thing the Lord did before he died on the cross, was to tell Mary to behold her son, John, and for John to behold his mother, so they would hold eachother up, and as his parting words for them, in the flesh, to his biological mother and youngest brother.) I believe John, the Divine Revelator, was Mary and Joseph's youngest son, and Jesus Christ's youngest natural brother. The angel didn't want John to worship him, and John didn't want us to worship anyone but the Lord Jesus Christ, so his identity is implied, but, never directly stated. Once the youngest of them all, barely in his teens, in AD 90, when these prophecies are transcribed, he the only one physically left. He is the age of the original patriarch Abraham, when the angel of the Lord told him about his seed spawning nations, and the biological root of the Messiah, in his original genes. Abraham was the first of the great Propets of God, and the Last was the Lord's brother, Mary and Joseph's son, John, called "The Beloved." who preached about love in his great epistles of love. Since John is the last, of the dispensation, it is a special occasion, as the angel of the Lord, greets another soldier in arms, a "fellow," brother in Christ. Before him, was an open door, that no one could shut, except the Lamb of God, the Key of David, and the last Adam, firstborn of the dead. Only he is worthy to possess the Kingdom, and he joyfully shares it's bounty with all who have hungered and thirsted for his righteousness and glory. No one has been able to shut that door for 2000 years. The Alpha and the Omega, the Lamb of God, brought John to a place that was supernatural, beyond our space/time concepts. Before him, was a door that was open, and he took us through, as the angel of the Lord, gave him the tour de force. Thank you LORD for LOGOS, the Witness, and the Light. In Christ, Our Savior. Amen.
