"TEMPT" -

Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
.... Lead us NOT into temptation.

God does not "Tempt" us. "Tempt" is used in this sentence,
by translation. The English translated word, does not
convey the same sense of this word. Nacah (naw-saw')
more closely resembles "Testing" than "Tempting!"

Gen 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only [son]
Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the
land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt
offering upon one of the mountains which I will
tell thee of.

2Ch 3:1 Then Solomon began to build the house
of the LORD
at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where
[the LORD] appeared unto David his father, in the
place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor
of Ornan the Jebusite.
__________________________________________
Mount Moriah was a three day trip, from where
Abraham lived, in the region of Beersheba, far
south. Mount Moriah overlooks Jerusalem and
Israel to the North. Mount Moriah is in Jerusalem.

Hebrew of 04179 Mowriyah {mo-ree-yaw'} or Moriyah {mo-ree-yah}
(Str. & Ges.) (Str. & Ges.) Mount Moriah
Moriah x 2
Moriah means: "Chosen by Yehovah"
1.) The place where Abraham took Isaac for sacrifice"
2.) The mount on the Eastern Edge of Jerusalem on
which Solomon built the Temple of Yehovah.

Abraham sent his firstborn son Ishmael
into the wilderness of Beersheba, with
only a loaf of bread and jug of water.
His agony was known only to himself, and
God, who told him to cut himself off from
his son, who he loved.
_____________________________________
He was a man of great faith, as he
was tried and true. It certainly was a
sacrifice for him to watch Hagar and
Ishmael depart from his eyes, into
the wilderness.

His consolation was Isaac, and a happy
home life with Sarah, whom he adored.
Abraham was a man after God's own
heart. He was a man who loved his people.
He loved Lot like a son, and treated him
like a brother, as they sojourned, and
set up camp in the fertile salt sea valley
of Shittim, in the land of Canaan.

He interceded for Lot, risking his life, and
was blessed by the King of Salem, The
High Priest of God the Highest, Melchizedek,
the Righteous King-Priest, the figure of
Jesus Christ to come.

He prayed for Lot, and they were redeemed
from the LORD's fiery wrath in the holocaust
of Sodom and Gomorrah, and the towns in
the valley of Shittim, in the Dead Sea.

Abraham is called God's Prophet, yet,
do we have written prophecies from him?
It is through his life, and the generations
to come, that God tells his story, until
the ancestors, like the stars in the sky,
like the words to describe God, are not
countable, since they grow and transcend,
or are removed and consolidated, but,
by His command.
God is the PROPHET, and man is just man.
But, God so loved the world, that he
had a plan of salvation, and offers the
water of eternal life, joy, and peace
in His Kingdom to Come.
Who is worthy of God? All who love him.
God loves us more than Abraham loved
Isaac, so Abraham submitted to His
command. When you've followed God
for 40 years, like Abraham did, like
Moses did, your faith is strong, and
you trust his will. While Abraham loved
Isaac, with all his human strength, he
loved God first, beyond his own flesh,
and proved it.
He knew he served a gracious and perfect
God, who like a father, is there to guide us.
What kind of father is willing to sacrifice
his only son, the apple of his eye, for the
highest purpose, the Holy purpose of the
LORD Almighty, as commanded?
God is a father, whose covenant was confirmed
in Jesus Christ. He alone, has been our blood
sacrifice for the past 2000 years, our propitiation,
written in the Book of the Law, as "Debt Paid." We
can approach the throne of God, not as transgressors,
but, appearing in white linen of the Saints, the blood of
the sacrifice applied to our sins, to wash them
away, along with all our tears.

Every father who said, goodbye Danny Boy,
to his lovely son, on the eve of wars past,
has known these miseries, as God shares
in our despair, hears our cries, and has an
immutable Plan of GLORY, GRACE and
JOY. Music, laughter, but, behind this
vale, rivers of tears and moans.

When we step beyond this veil we will
see it too, especially with the faith of
Abraham, our ancestor in faith first,
and then blood.

He was blessed with the incomprehensible
sight of God's face, as we all shall see with
our own eyes. What sacrifice have we made
in love for God, and our fellow man? How far
does selfishness, false-pride, obstinacy, and
vendettas take us, when we must stand before
the throne of the majesty of Creation,
Our Creator, God Almighty, and the lamb
which was slain, is before our eyes?

Gen 22:3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and
saddled his ass, and took two of his young men
with him with him, and Isaac his son, and clave
the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and
went unto the place of which God had told him
.

Gen 22:4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his
eyes, and saw the place afar off.

Gen 22:5 And Abraham said unto his young men, abide ye
here, with the ass, and I and the lad will go yonder
and worship, and come again to you.

Gen 22:6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering,
and laid [it] upon Isaac, his son;
and he took the
fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went together

Gen 22:7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said,
My father: and he said,
Here [am] I, my son. And he
said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where [is] the
lamb for a burnt offering?

Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself
a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them
together.

Gen 22:9 And they came to the place which God had told him of;
and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in
order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the
altar upon the wood.

Gen 22:10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the
knife to slay his son.

Gen 22:11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven,
and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here [am] I.
(hineni)

Gen 22:12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do
thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest
God, seeing thou has not withheld thy son, thine only [son]
from me.

Gen 22:13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold
behind [him] a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and
Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for
a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

Sometimes it is hard to remember that the Hebrews,
Israelites, and Jews are blood to the people who are
their sworn enemies, and want to kill them constantly,
and vica versa.

Vendettas fall hard, but, God will prevail.

Imagine what Abraham would say about our situation
in the Middle East. Does anyone believe he would want
the seed of Isaac wiped out of existence, for eternity, or
to nullify the Plan of the God of Abraham?

God blessed Abraham, by blessing Ishmael, but, he
most certainly had His Plan for Isaac and Jacob.
Through them, came the lamb of God, the Messiah,
root and seed of David.
